Our client had two goals that from a design perspective were quite diverse. They needed to emphasize their medical state-of-the-art environment, yet they wanted their patients to feel a sense of personal comfort one finds in a home.
Our design team used historically classic architectural detailing and a formal palette of deep charcoal and white statuary marble combined with contemporary linear recessed lighting, operable aluminum and glass walls, and mid-toned wood plank and carpet tile flooring. Residentially oriented furniture, pendant lights and table lamps, art and accessories provide the living room ambiance we were striving for, while strategically placed windows provide glimpses into the sterile laboratories filled with high-tech equipment to garner the confidence that you are indeed in a scientific medical facility.
