Loran brings a rare blend of business acumen, design expertise, and grounded project leadership to her projects. Guided by genuine curiosity and a solution-oriented mindset, she is known for her thoughtful approach, respectful communication style, and meticulous attention to detail.

A proud San Diego native, Loran began her career with a strong business foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Diego State University and working in finance at Children’s Hospital, where she sharpened her analytical skills and developed an appreciation for mission-driven work. Her enduring creative drive led her to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego, allowing her to integrate the disciplines of artistic insight and operational clarity into her work.

With over 30 years of experience spanning architecture, interior design, and planning for commercial environments, Loran specializes in project management, construction administration, strategic planning, and programming. She has held senior leadership roles, including Senior Associate and Director of Design, across firms of varying sizes. Her diverse portfolio spans corporate office, healthcare, senior living, medical and wellness, education, government, hospitality, retail, and outdoor spaces.

Her work has been recognized by clients and honored with several industry awards, including DuPont’s Certificate of Merit for Custom Carpet Design, Mannington Mills’ “Prestigious Installation” award for an Outpatient Pavilion, and an ARDA Award for Resort Renovation—reflecting her commitment to thoughtful, well-crafted, human-centered design.

Driven by a lifelong passion for design and the arts, Loran enjoys museums, live music, and theatrical performances. An avid world traveler who has explored nearly 75 countries, she draws inspiration from diverse cultures, food and wine, landscapes, and architectural wonders. A lifelong athlete and enthusiastic follower of professional tennis, she often incorporates major sporting events into her travels.

Her love of new places, cities, and the outdoors was shaped early through family road trips, reunions, camping, and visits to national parks. Coming from a close-knit family, Loran values quality time and staying closely connected to loved ones. Above all, she prioritizes meaningful relationships and maintains a strong sense of gratitude and balance in both her personal and professional life.
