Growing up in rural Canada afforded Bre’an the opportunity to make elaborate forts with her siblings that featured separate rooms and even furniture. After discovering that she could make a career out of her childhood hobby, she obtained her Interior Design degree at Brooks College in Long Beach.
Bre’an founded FS Design Group in 1992, and it quickly became a leading, one-stop planning, design, management and relocation firm specializing in commercial and medical office projects.
Over her decades of experience, Bre’an found that success came from her chameleon ability to carefully tailor designs to the individual tastes and requirements of each client. She loves unusual design challenges, and she always finds a way for a space to reflect its owner or user, not the designer.
Bre’an is deeply involved with her professional and broader community. She was instrumental in co-founding the San Diego chapter and eventually the national network of CREW, a membership organization dedicated to promoting, educating and supporting professionals in the field of commercial real estate. In addition to serving on the CREW San Diego Advisory Board, she is focused on establishing a separate nonprofit organization for scholarships that will be awarded to members to pursue additional education.
Bre’an is also an active member of NAWBO, which represents women business owners across all industries, and has volunteered time and materials for the Boys & Girls Club of San Diego, Interfaith Community Services, Operation Dress Code, the Mighty Oaks Warrior program and the Ronald McDonald House.
Bre’an received a Women of Influence award from SD Metro Magazine and a Top Influentials award from the San Diego Daily Transcript.
When she’s not working, Bre’an enjoys spending time at home with her husband in North Pacific Beach, traveling – especially to Italy, learning Italian, cycling, snow skiing and seeing her three kids and five grandkids.
