This undisclosed technology provider selected FS Design Group to relocate their existing lab, warehouse and office space to a new industrial building location. As the lead architectural designer, FS Design collaborated with the client, project manager, engineering consultants and contractor to push the project forward through a complex permitting process and aggressive construction schedule. 

Key challenges for the project extended beyond the budget and schedule. FS Design Group helped navigate specialty racking permits for the warehouse and unforeseen deferred maintenance on the building required for completion while still meeting an aggressive move-in date.

The construction and design team, led by a construction project manager, worked diligently together to ensure the coordination of the racking permit would not delay the tenant improvement (TI) permit. The relationship between the city and fire department inspectors was paramount to achieving the final sign off for a move-in schedule. The client’s ability to minimize testing downtime was paramount to the successful completion of the project.
