Caroline Tilger Joins FS Design Group’s Creative Team

New Designer Expands Our Firm’s Multifamily Expertise

We’re welcoming another new face at FS Design Group. We hope you enjoy learning more about Caroline Tilger and have a chance to work with her in the future.

When Caroline was planning, decorating, painting and repainting her bedroom throughout her childhood (six times!), she didn’t even know interior design was a career choice.

Once she found her calling, she not only graduated magna cum laude with her interior design degree from Washington State University, she did so during the pandemic. Upon graduating, she became the first of her siblings to earn a college degree, despite being the youngest of them.

Now Caroline brings her talent to FS Design Group’s team with design development and project production of construction documents, creating finishes, coordinating with our consultants and completing construction specification packages.

Her creativity and attention to detail stand out. She’s also passionate about furthering her design knowledge. Caroline’s goals include earning LEED and/or WELL certification to further elevate her ability to design sustainable and human-centric spaces.

Caroline started her career at a sustainable furniture company, where her focus was on listening to her clients’ visions for their spaces and translating those ideas by curating furniture that would exemplify their tastes and help create successful spaces.

Caroline joins FS Design Group with a background in multifamily design also, with project types ranging from low-income housing and senior living to student housing and new apartment buildings. Of the projects she had a hand in, her favorite was a multifamily project in Maui that included 60% affordable units for Maui’s workforce. It was important to her to represent an authentic Hawaiian design aesthetic throughout the building that honored Maui’s rich landscape and culture.

Caroline is a self-described foodie, so in her personal time she enjoys discovering new restaurants. It’s fortunate that weightlifting is one of her hobbies, because she and her fiancé Nick also enjoy taking their 115-pound goldendoodle for walks on the beach.
